I started my career for a local junior team at the age of 7, here is where i took my first steps on the footballing pyramid and gained much needed experience. At the age of 10 i joined Football League side Crewe Alexandra FC on a 6 month trial contract, upon the expriy of my trial i was approached by Football League side Port Vale FC. At the age of 11 i signed a 2 year contract with the club, once again at the
age of 13 i was offered a further 2 year deal by the club. At this time i was selected to play and represent Staffordshire County, i played 9 games for the county by the age of 13. At the end of the season i was selected in the Port Vale FC squad to travel to France in a national
tournement, competing against the likes of; Valencia, Lille and Borrusia Morchenglabach.
Following on from this at the age of 16 i was given work experience to train at the club along side then No1 keeper Joe Anyon and Chris Martin under the guidence of Port Vale FC coach Mark Grew. I made over 100 apperences for Port Vale FC centre of excellence and Youth before leaving at the age of 17 to gain further 1st team experience.
I joined Bolton Wanderers FC and worked along side goalkeeping coach Fred Barber, i gained alot of experience in the short time at the club.
I then signed for Semi-Professional outfit Hanley Town, where we won the League and Cup double in my first season at the club and gaining 19 clean sheets in 34 games for the club during our league winning season. During my second season with the club where we once again won the league a total of just 21 goals were conceded in 38 games.
After 2 highly sucessful years at Hanley Town i signed for Semi-Professional Stone Dominoes FC on a 3 year contract. During a pre-season friendly an injury forced early retiremet.
Following a succesful 11 year career i decided to look into the possibility of coaching, which at already at the age if 16 i had gained my Level 1 coaching badge. I worked along some of the country's top goalkeeping coaches including; ex Newcastle United coach Simon Smith, Bolton and Northern Island coach Fred Barber and also my former coach Mark Grew.
I gained my uefa C licence in goalkeeping and decided to set up Shot Stoppers.
In the last couple of years within the school we have produced some fantastic talent, which has been scouted by professional clubs. I strive to produce more of the same in the coming years and will give my full dedication to help other succed and have the success they want.
